Cargo transportations increased by 19,5 %.

In comparison with January – July 2006 cargo transportations made by transport sector increased by 19,5 % and cargo turnover by 2,9 times.
In January – July 2007 there was transported 93,3 million tons of various cargo from which 47,6 % fall to the share of motor transport, pipeline transport - 28,6% (including 17,4% to the oil pipeline Baku – Tbilisi - Dzheykhan), railway transport- 17,6% and sea transport- 6,2%.
The share of private sector in transportations was 66,7%.
In the given period cargo turnover was 48,935 billion ton-kilometres. Such information is given by Azerbaijan State Statistics Committee.
